Private Pet Cremations
The death of a beloved pet is never an easy thing for a family to go through. At that moment, decisions sometimes have to be made in a hurry. If you consider having you pet cremated, the Berkeley County Humane Society is now doing on site private pet cremations. Your pet will be cremated and their ashes will be placed in a handmade wooden urn and placed in a blue velvet (Over the Rainbow) cremation bag with care and dignity.

Evelyn Kilmer Spay and Neuter Clinic
It was a longtime dream of the shelter to be able to spay and neuter on site all the animals that are adopted from the facility. On May 29, 2010, the Evelyn Kilmer Spay and Neuter Clinic was opened at the Berkeley County Humane Society.
Briardo Reich is the in-charge DVM for the Spay and Neuter Clinic.
During the adoption process, the staff will schedule your appointment to bring your newly adopted pet back for surgery.
Spay and Neuter Assistance Program
Berkeley County Humane Society offers low cost spay/neuter assistance to the general public.
- Pet owners need to stop by the shelter to complete the necessary paperwork
- Pet owner needs to pay the required fee (cash only) Your appointment will be scheduled at that time.
- Micro-chip $20 can be done Monday - Saturday 10am-4pm
